L. T. Milnor is Dead; Short Illness is Fatal to Industrial Leader

Leland Topping Milnor, widely known businessman and President of the Park Avenue Apartments, Co. died late last night at Good Samaritan Hospital after a short illness. He was 74 years old.

Mr. Milnor came to Cincinnati from Alton, IL in 1909 as sales manager of the Western Electric Co. branch office. Later he became Cincinnati manager for this company. In 1917 he organized his own business, the Milnor Electric Co., distributing electrical supplies. He liquidated this concern in 1933.

Other businesses operated under his proprietorship included the Milnor Air Conditioning Co. and the Milnor Refrigerator Co. Mr. Milnor was a Past President of the Cincinnati Club, former President and general manager of the Cincinnati Fly Screen Co., Past President of the National Sales Managers Association, former vice chairman of the National Electric Wholesalers Association and past director of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.

AS President of the Cincinnati Club he directed that organization's affairs for five years. During his administration he did his job with such efficiency that the club's books showed an operating profit for each year.

A native of Alton, IL, Mr. Milnor was a graduate of the high school there. He held memberships in the Cincinnati Country Club and the Society of Colonial Wars.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Jane C. Pogue Milnor, who he married January 27, 1904 and with whom he lived on Buckingham Road, Indian Hill and two daughters, Mrs. Jane M. Cole of Wellesley Hills, MA and Marian M. Smith, of Cincinnati.
