An extensive cemetery transcription prepared in 1990 listed, without sourcing, Lizzie as being married twice: married first to Benjamin S. Hutton, then to Charles Ross Gorman. This contributor listed that information in good faith, but upon receiving a message questioning the validity of the mention of a marriage with Benjamin S. Hutton (# 98977933), this contributor has consulted marriage records, divorce records, found a Hutton family group sheet, and looked up the obituary for Benjamin S. Hutton (as well as his death record for spouse listing).
Barring the slight chance that there was a brief marriage/divorce in another county, it now appears credible that the notations about a marriage between Lizzie and Benjamin were in error.
The spousal link previously made for Lizzie to Benjamin is now being omitted, unless and until any marriage information can be found to substantiate that particular marriage.
Lizzie did marry Charles Ross Gorman on March 11, 1903 in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa (marriage licence # 8677) which this contributor looked at and noted that she was listed as "Miss" Lizzie E. Sutherlin.
She was a daughter of John Walker Sutherlin and Amanda Ellen Grimes Sutherlin, and parent links are now made per SAC request.
Several of Lizzie's siblings are buried either in McCleary cemetery or other cemeteries in Jefferson county, so searches for "Sutherlin" names will find those memorials.

Obituary
Lizzie E. Southerlin (sic) was born in Russellville, Putman Co., Ind., June 2, 1881. She moved from her Indiana home to Iowa in the year 1900, where she resided until her death, May 31, 1905. She was united in marriage to C. R. Gorman Mar. 11, 1903. To this union one child was born, little Charlie, aged 11 months. It may well be said of our departed sister that "Her sun has gone down while it is yet day," as she was only 23 years, 11 months and 28 days of age.
The funeral services were conducted at the home by Elder T. F. Poeis, of Packwood. The large crowd of sorrowing people who gathered to pay the last respects to their departed dead prove the large circle of warm friends that Mrs. Gorman had made during her few short years with us.
The remaining husband has our heartfelt sympathy in his present bereavement.
