Wayne Woodrow "Joe" Dibert, 99, Ft. Wayne, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Born in Ohio City, OH, Joe worked at General Electric for 34 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church ELCA; Maumee Lodge No. 725, F.&A.M.; Scottish Rite; Mizpah Shrine; the Eagles and Southwest Conservation Club. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret Catherine (Allen) Dibert; sons, Frederick (Marcy) Dibert of Ft. Wayne and Terry (Pat) Dibert of Lauderdale by the Sea, FL; daughter, Janet (Todd) Stephenson of Ft. Wayne; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great granddaughters. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Dibert; brothers, Ernest, James, Sam and Richard; and sisters, Olive and Grace. Funeral service is 11 am, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd with calling one hour prior. Rev. Judith Follis officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
