Clarence E. Marcum, 65, died Sat. 2 Nov [1963] at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. Mr. Marcum was born in Hart Co. He is survived by his wife, Mary Goodman Marcum, 3 daughters, Nellie Kathleen Marcum, at Home; Mrs. Joe Cunut, Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Neoma Cohen, Indianapolis, Ind; 2 sons, Joe Glenn Elliott Marcum, Louisville and Kirby R. Marcum, Jessep, Md., a brother, Kirby L. Marcum, St. John, Newfoundland; 4 half-brothers, Woodrow, Thomas, Clinton and Jack Marcum, all of Louisville; 4 half-sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Mrs. Gladys Lobb and Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Bonnie Bigg, Opal Adams, all of Louisville; a stepmother, Mrs. Ivy Marcum, Louisville; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Mon. 4 Nov at 2:00 pm at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Ladies Chapel Cem. Rev. Leon Hadley officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Sidney Wright, John Pettit, Clarence Bonta, George Weller, Ray Mays and Ared Chaudoin.
