Obituary in Florida Times Union:

Raymond Tyrus Williams, Jr., 76 years old, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Mr. Williams was born in Newnan, Georgia and lived his life in Jacksonville and New Orleans. He was retired from B.B. McCormick and Sons in Jacksonville Beach and had also worked for Brown and Root in New Orleans for many years as a superintendent for Off Shore Drilling and Pipe supplies.

Mr. Williams loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was very important to him and he loved them dearly and unconditionally. He was a very loving and giving man and was always ready with a smile and laugh -- his eyes reflected the happiness and love in his very big heart. To know him was to love him.

Surviving him are his beloved daughters, Regina Mire (Mike) and Annette Beaugh, beloved son Patrick Williams (Kim), all of New Orleans; Grandchildren include Melinda Orellina, Brandon Beaugh, Travis Williams, Stephanie Beaugh, Tiffany Williams. Great-grandchildren Kaylynn Williams and Jillian Orellina, sister Cheryle Luzack, several nieces and many, many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond T. Williams and Romah Williams, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at Ocean Park Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11 AM with fellowship following in the church fellowship hall. Dr. John Boone will be officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ocean Park Baptist Church in his memory.

"I Am Always With You

I am always with you. When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home"."
