IN MEMORY
Emery Lester Anderson, son of John Paul and Nellie Anderson, was born December 5, 1913, at Storm Lake. He graduated from the Albert City High School and attended O'Boyles Business College in Omaha.
On June 3, 1942, he married Joyce Johnson in Pomeroy and the couple made their home in Storm Lake until 1955, when they moved to Alta. He was a salesman for the Minnesota Woolen Company of Duluth for 30 years, retiring in 1973.
Emery was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served as custodian for 14 years, taught Sunday school, and was involved with Lutheran Brotherhood and other activities. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Group in Storm Lake for 14 years.
Emery died on June 26, 1987, at a Storm Lake hospital after being stricken at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Junior Anderson.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Roger of Olatha, Kansas, Lanny of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Kevin of Alta; a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Debra) Wonder of Ida Grove; a brother, Wesley of Albert City; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Johnson of Missouri Valley, and Miss Mildred
Anderson of Fort Dodge; and eight grandchildren.
