Michael R. Bessey, 59, of White Potato Lake Rd., Pound passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 from injuries received in an auto accident. The son of the late Rolland and Katherine (Brinker) Bessey was born March 15, 1953 at Rhinelander, WI. He graduated from Grafton High School and then attended MATC Technical College for 2 years. He was married to Debra Johnson on May 31, 1975 at St. Moncia Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay. He was a chef at Jake's Restaurant and at the Hoffman House Restaurant. Michael was then general manager of T.G.I. Fridays. He owned his own produce business called Gasallis Onions at Baldwin, WI. The couple then moved to White Potato Lake at Pound and he then began working for Reinhart Foods as a salesman. He loved music, boating, cooking, sports, and sitting around the camp fire with family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Debra Ann; three children; Joel (Nicole) Bessey of Wisconsin Rapids, Scott Bessey of Green Bay, and Katherine Bessey of Clearwater, MN; two grandchildren, Owen and Evan Bessey; sisters and brother; Ellen Faretta of Coloma, Deanna Modra of Medina, MN; twin sister, Patricia (Harold) Janke of West Bend, WI; Georgia (James) Battermann of Mequon, and Robert (Holly) Bessey of Summerfield, NC; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 3:00 p.m. on Monday until time of services. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15th at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Kostreva officiating. Interment will be in the Town of Brazeau Cemetery.
