Erriga Ellen Spiker, 80, of Oakland, Md., died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Garrett Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
She was born Jan. 4, 1922, at Weston, a daughter of the late Rev. William C. and Elva Ola Hurst Dunson. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Terra Alta.
She is survived by three daughters, Ellen Binghan, of Melbourne, Fla., Ola Ruth Justice, of Ravenna, Ohio, and Alma Louise Mugrage, of Akron, Ohio; a special daughter and friend, Naomi Swartzentruber, of Oakland; three brothers, Edwin Dunson, of Bruceton Mills, Charles Dunson, of Terra Alta, and Daniel Dunson, of New Castle, Del.; two sisters, Loverah Johnson and Rose Nordeck Minor, both of Terra Alta; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Spiker, in 1991; one sister and one brother. There will be an open house at the Charles and Rose Minor residence, 203 Linwood Ave., Terra Alta, Thursday evening, Sept. 19 from 7-9 p.m. Friends will be received at Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta, Friday, Sept. 20, from noon until the 2 p.m. time of service with the Rev. Ernest Metheny and Steven Nordeck officiating. Interment will follow in the Bruceton Cemetery.
