ANNISTON - Nellie Holcombe Hester, 93, of Anniston died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, in Beckwood Manor.
She was born in Carroll County, Ga., Aug. 4, 1904, daughter of the late Cody and Ella Norton Holcombe. Mrs. Hester was a member of Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church
in Carroll County and was a retired employee of Bremen-Bowdon Investment Co.
She was preceded in death by a son, James William Batchelor, on March 1, 1994.
Survivors include two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Friday, July 31, at noon at the Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Elder Lewis Norton officiating.
Arrangements were by Rainwater-West Funeral Home of Bowdon, Ga.
