April 1897 Wood Co Sentinel newspaper
article reflecting back on Grandparents Joseph/Ann Howells.
At the end of article it is written:
"The lovers of the great novelist, William Dean Howells, will read the above with considerable interest, and undoubtedly will attach to Bowling Green some extra renown for being the last resting place of the grandparents of so distinguished an American. It is hoped that the new burial spot will be advantageously situated. Certain it is that it will receive more attention from strangers of the present day than did the little lot in the old cemetery, the very existance of which was apparently not known by many members of the novelist's family.
Son Dr J.H. Howells left OH after the death of his parents and headed for the West with new bride/widow of Gen. D.H.W. Day.
