George died on August 16, 1984 at the Sunrise Villa Nursing Home in Mora at the age of 87 years, nine months and 19 days.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday August 20, 1984 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Elroy Blomquist officiating with Mrs. Gale Johnson singing and Mrs. Don Christensen playing the organ.
George is survived by his wife, Minnie, currently residing at the Milaca Elim Home in Milaca, one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Laree Bemis of Foreston, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elva Mae and brothers, Cliff, George and Charles along with his parents.
The casket bearers were Bud Kessler, Curt Bemis, Steve Bemis, Alan Strombeck, Clifford Bemis and Dewey Anderson. Interment was made in the Milo Cemetery.
