His marker shows his date of birth as 1866 and his date of death as 1910, which would mean that he was approximately 44 years old when he died. His obit appears in The Patriot News on two separate occasions and they both state that he was 44 years old when he died. His death certificate however, states that he was born in 1868 and that he was 42 years old when he died. Don't know which is correct. Am posting both death notices as well as his death certificate.

William E. Hoover, aged 44 years , died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at his home, 1959 Rudy Street, after a lingering illness of typhoid fever. The funeral will be held from his late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted by Rev. James F. Glass, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church. Interment will be made in the East Harrisburg Cemetery.
