Mrs Letha L McFadden, 90, a resident of Sunset Manor, died at 9:30 pm on Thursday, Dec 31, 1992, at Sunset Manor. She was born in Troy Township, Venango County, on Oct 4, 1902, a daughter of Dorsey and Anna Armitage Kightlinger. She was married to Ora W McFadden on March 24, 1920, at Mayville, NY. Mr McFadden died on Nov 28, 1960. Mrs McFadden was employed at Titusville Hospital for several years. Following the death of her husband, she worked in Oil City caring for elderly in private homes. In 1973, she made her residence in Central Towers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Lady Victory Rebekah Lodge #333 and the Friendly Neighbors of Central Towers. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Harry (Ann M Bold) Woodburn and Mrs Frank (Jean) Kaputa, both of Tionesta; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Lois Shaffer of Venango; a son-in-law, Jack H Cook of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs McFadden was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs Dorothy I Cook; three brothers and four sisters. Friends may call at the Gordon B Garrett Funeral Home...and attend the funeral service there at 1:30 pm Sunday with Rev Raymond Lyon, pastor of the First United Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in Diamond Cemetery.
