TULSA OKLAHOMA PETERS, 93, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, October 08, 2012.

She was born March 15, 1919, in Tulsa Oklahoma to Benjamin and Sadie (Ferrie) Shields.

Tulsa volunteered her time supporting her church, nursing home, and food pantry in Angleton and received a commendation from Texas Governor Mark White.

She is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Sadie, husband Herbert W. Peters, Sr., brother Albert, sisters Doris, Lillian, and Edna, and is survived by son Herbert (Buddy) Peters, Jr. and wife Nancy, daughter Rebecca (Beckie) Riddell and husband Bill, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October16, 2012, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday October 17, at 10:00 AM at Angleton First Presbyterian church. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the Presbyterian Home at 4407 Bee Cave Rd, Austin, Texas 78746.
