She was a 1971 graduate of Kokomo High School, and was employed by General Motors Corp. for over 34 years, first in Kokomo, then moving to Arlington, Texas, retiring in 2006. She was a very active member of UAW Local 292 in Kokomo, and Local 276 in Arlington, Texas, and was also active in the Democrat Party. She loved football.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by; three sisters, Marjorie Bales and husband Larry of Sharpsville, Dottie Salsbery and husband Richard of Kokomo, and Judy Cockrell of Kokomo; one brother, Tommy Williams of Kokomo; a step daughter, Tiffany Lyn Doyle of Pensacola, Florida; a sister-in-law, Susan Fernicola and husband Andrew of Phoenix, Arizona; mother-in- law, Sheila Doyle of Trenton, New Jersey, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, father- in- law Andrew Doyle Sr., and a brother Glenn Williams.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Shirley and Stout Funeral Homes, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., with Pastor Don Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God of the Union Assembly with envelopes available at the funeral home.
