She is survived by her beloved children Glenda (David) Henn of Logansport, Malinda (Jim) Jablonski and Justin Freese both of La Porte, and Christine Weiss and Lynn Weiss both of Florida; grandchildren Brian Henn, Rachel Henn, MeLynn Buttersworth, Amanda Harris, Brandi Prast, Joshua Freese, Chad Jablonski, Damian Freese; 14 great-grandchildren, her sister Geraldine Schrum and her loving companion Robert Wazniak .
She was preceded in death by her youngest and beloved daughter Kathie Harris; a great grandchild, Derrick Mareska; her parents, Ketter and Grace Euler; and 12 siblings.
Shirley lived most of her life in LaPorte. She retired from Modine Manufacturing where she had worked most of her adult life.
She enjoyed her hobbies that included playing cards & dice, listening to music, shopping, and traveling. Above all Shirley loved, and was loved by her family as they were most dear and beloved to her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday October 12, 2012 at 10 AM at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, IN.
Friends and family will be received from 4-7 PM on Thursday October 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
