Barbara Jean Mitchell, 54, of Resaca, Ga., departed this life on Wednesday, April 21, 2004.
Born May 7, 1949 in McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Seignoyst and Eliza Robinson Mowery and was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcie Parlier and Cindy Lunsford.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Mitchell of Resaca, Ga.; one daughter, Jennifer Mitchell of Resaca, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray and Linda Mowery of Athens; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rosie Mowery of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Shelia and Warren Haws of Jonesboro, and Beulah Evans of Resaca, Ga.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses.
