Ruby M. Basham, 95, of Clearwater, FL, previously of Jumping Branch, WV, died Monday, April 21, 2008 in Clearwater, FL.
Born March 21, 1913 at Ellison, WV, she was the daughter of the late Larkin and Martha Meadows Lilly.
Mrs. Basham was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and she loved quilting, gardening and reading her Bible.
Preceded in death by her husband of over seventy-four years, Zina E. Basham, two daughters, Eula Basham and Leta Thurmond, one granddaughter and two great granddaughters. Survived by two sons; Edward Basham of Elkridge, MD and Dempsey Basham of Dunedin, FL, three daughters; Julia Paterson of Clearwater, Fl, Dolores Francis of Crownsville, MD and Mary Phillips of Indian Trail, NC, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday April 25, 2008 at the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch with Pastor Bill Fox officiating.
Burial will follow in the Basham Family Cemetery at Ellison, WV. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday, her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
