Stuart Forest Kerr, 78, of Farmington died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Born March 24, 1934, in Chambersburg, Mo., he was the son of Forest L. and Beatrice S. Morrison Kerr. On July 3, 1955, he married Charlotte Smith in Anson, Mo.

Mr. Kerr retired from farming in the Clark County, Mo., area. He was regional director for Conklin Co. He served in the Navy. He was a member of Anson Community Church, where he served in several capacities, including many years as treasurer.

He enjoyed farming, traveling, making milk shakes for his grandchildren and attending their events. He also enjoyed hosting field days for Conklin Co.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sheila Livesay of Mount Sterling; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Hillis Kerr of Farmington; two sisters, Ila Threet of Lebanon, Mo., and Patty Woods of Kahoka, Mo.; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sons, two in infancy, his parents and one brother.

Stuart Forest Kerr, 78, of Farmington, Iowa, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, Iowa.

Born March 24, 1934, Chambersburg, Missouri the son of Forest L. and Beatrice Sunshine . (Morrison) Kerr. On July 3, 1955 he married Charlotte Smith in Anson, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte of Farmington, Iowa, one daughter Sheila (Rod) Livesay of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, four grandchildren Curtis (Melissa) Livesay, Katie (Chad) Hedrick, Karen Livesay, Kayla Livesay, two great-grandchildren Chloe and Chase Hedrick, one brother Hillis Kerr of Farmington, Iowa, two sisters Ila Mae (Irv) Woods-Threet of Lebanon, Missouri and Patty (Boyd) Woods of Kahoka, Missouri, three sisters-in-law Iris Kerr of Farmington, Iowa, Mary (John) Daw of Farmington, Iowa, Judy Skinner of Keokuk, Iowa, two foreign exchange daughters Deyanira (Alberto) Quintanilla 'de Medina, Ivonne (Ron) Wiegand and Ivonne's children Christian and Alek LaFrenz and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Hollis Kerr, mother-in-law, father-in-law, three sons Skie and Duane in infancy and Paul Kerr, sister-in-law Joan Kerr and brothers-in-law Pearl Woods and Larry Skinner.

Stuart was a retired farmer in the Clark County Missouri area. He was Regional Director for the Conklin Company and a member of the Anson Community Church. Stuart served in many capacities for the church including treasurer for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Stuart enjoyed farming, traveling, making milk shakes for his grandchildren and attending their events. He also enjoyed hosting field days for the Conklin Company.

A Funeral Service were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Anson Community Church in Anson, Missouri with Pastor Tom Schulz officiating and Randy Harness speaking graveside.
