A funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.
Mrs. Cremer was born May 30, 1925 in Chambers County, Alabama, daughter of the late Grady Walker Allen and the late Sallie Shanks Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was a graduate of Hogansville High School, was retired from Uniroyal Inc., and was a member of the Appalachian Trail Association. An avid rock collector, she was affectionately known as the "nightingale" of Corinth Road.
Surviving are step-son and his wife, Richard and Pat Cremer of Jonesboro; sister and her husband, Sara and Curtis Lindsey of LaGrange; three brothers and their wives, Randall and Marice Allen of Mableton, Joe Frank and Doris Allen of Clemson, S.C., and Tommy and Nancy Allen of Williamson; sister-in-law, Betty Sue Allen of Hogansville; very special friend, Martha Russell, also of Hogansville; 13 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, G. W. Allen Jr.
