George Weldon Cave was born March 24, 1921 in Princeton, Texas to Alton Loyd Cave & Lucy Hammond Cave; he passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 in Dallas. George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin & Herman Cave; sisters Mildred Dunderdale & Helen Meadows. George was in the grocery business before entering the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II. He served as a bombardier-navigator. He retired from Veterans Administration after 33 years of service, serving at hospitals in McKinney, Dallas and Bonham, Texas, as well as Little Rock, Arkansas, Dublin and Augusta, Georgia. George belonged to Lakeside Baptist Church; member Sons of American Revolution and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Survivors are his wife Ruth Mobley Cave; daughters Jane Sadek & husband Bill; Susan Kennedy & husband Larry; brother Malcolm Cave. Visitation Thursday, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. The Funeral Service, 10:00 am, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Lakeside Baptist Church. Dr. Jeff Donnell and Rev. Larry NeGron, officiating. Interment Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas.
