Velma Barnette Breedlove, 94, of Monroe, died June 19, 2003.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Jessie Maude Poss Barnette.
The widow of Carl Park Breedlove, she was a homemaker and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her daughters Carlene Powell and Rachel Conner.
Funeral services were held June 22 in Center Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Gunter, Jr. and the Rev. James T. Manley officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Gunter, Hinton Jackson, Perry Aycock, Tribble Breedlove, Dick Jackson and George Breedlove.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Penny Christie, Bryant Powell, Marcia Gilmore, Janet Bellamy, Mike Conner and Mark Conner; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sue Breedlove of Monroe and Becky Barnette of Watkinsville.
Arthur Bowick, Inc Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
