Brocker married Elizabeth Brittain (or Britton?) (1839-1916) in c1861 and lived at Carbon County, Pennsylvania. Brocker was a railroad laborer and later a railroad engineer.
Brocker and Elizabeth were the parents of eight children, of whom seven are known, namely:
1. Charles "Charley" Rothrock (1862-1875)
2. Abraham Lincoln Rothrock (1865-1936)
3. Mary Alice Rothrock Lawrence (1868-1938)
4. Robert Henry Rothrock (1875-1950)
5. John E. Rothrock (1878-1882)
6. Hattie Rothrock (1882-1883)
7. Ella B. Rothrock (1885-1888)
Given the gaps in birth dates there are probably additional children, who presumably died young. Was Elizabeth really the mother of Ella? She would have been 46 years of age, very old for that period of time to give birth.
In 1900 John Rothrock (occupation listed as "old man"!) was living at Weatherly City, Carbon County, Pennsylvania with wife Elizabeth (mother of eight, three living) and son Robert (listed as telegraph operator). John was a railroad engineer, from 1880 onward on the Packerton run, in charge of Engine 376, the "Excelsior". His son Lincoln was his fireman.
Links to Brocker's parents, wife, all of his seven known children and two of his nine known siblings are included below.
