Mrs. W. E. Thomas applied for a CSA widow's pension based on her husband's service. She says they married in Macon, Ga in 1874 and W. E. Thomas died 12 April 1913 in Savannah, GA. The witness says the Mr. Thomas served in the 5th GA Militia and drew a pension.


William E. Thomas died yesterday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of his son, W. W. Thomas of Oak Grove on the Thunderbolt Road. His death followed an illness of eight days. Mr. Thomas was 69 years old and a native of Dooley County, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Thomas, one son, W. W. Thomas of Oak Grove, and one daughter, Mrs. Ida Belle Duffey, Miami. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from the residence of W. W. Thomas.

Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
