Lorraine Brashear, 85, of Hazard, KY, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center, Hazard, KY. She was the daughter of the late Dave Speaks and the late Ann Stidham. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Pennington and Gay Fugate; brother Don Speaks and granddaughter Alicia Ann Craft Farler. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Brashear; daughters Deborah Louise Craft, Jill Darko and Janet Leigh Sandlin; son David Kendrick Brashear; grandchildren Bobby John Combs, Rebecca Ann Feltner, Jennifer Michelle Brashear, Makenzie Brooke Brashear, Jacob Kendrick Brashear and Kayla Elizabeth Sandlin. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Harli McKenna Feltner. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel in Hazard, KY where the family received friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. The funeral service was at the chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2008, with Mark Tabata and Haliburton Greer officiating. Burial was at Felix Brahsear Cemetery in Viper, KY. Pallbearers were Les Burgett, Bobby John Combs, Larry Craft, Dave Darko, Jay Farler and Jefferson Sandlin.
