Mary Sue "Susie" (Wade) Colwell, age 79, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Fayetteville.
She was born June 10, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to George Clifton "Deacon" Wade and Vera Marie (Drake) Wade
Susie was a graduate of Fayetteville High School where she was FHS Homecoming Queen and a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Journalism. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter S, Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society Daughters of American Colonists, Perennial Garden Club of Fayetteville, and Chi Omega PSI Chapter Alumnae.
She is survived by one brother; Lynn F. Wade of Fayetteville, AR. three children; Linda M. Colwell Stewart of Winslow, AR, Wade Clark Colwell of Fayetteville, AR, Ted Drake Colwell of Edina, MN, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 9th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moore's Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church with Reverend Gary Lunsford officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
