Child #2 of 3 born to Ellen Alletta Blevins and Cecil Earl Allen (Tommy Cecil, Nancy Ellen and "EJ"-Earl Junior).

Born: Sacramento Otero Co NM on 18 Feb 1943.

"Nan" spent her toddler years in NM with maternal grandparents (Bertha Ellen Gadberry and James William Blevins), brother, Tom and mother, while her father was serving in the US Army during WWII.

After the war, the family lived in NM and AZ where Cecil was employed in the logging industry as log foreman and mechanic. Alletta was the secretary and bookkeeper for the company (Ramsey Logging).

In NM, Nancy enjoyed time spent with Grandpa Blevins, in the Sacramento Mountains, Prestridge Log Camp, one-room school house and always reading.

During high school in Winslow Navajo Co AZ, she participated in the Pep Squad and was a Pom Pom Girl, plus many activities that the small town provided.

The Allen family moved to Jemez Mountain area (near Albuquerque Bernalillo Co) in NM during Nancy's Junior year in high school.

Married: Richard Alexander "Dick" Ralston on 4 Oct. 1959, Church of Christ in Winslow AZ. She was a great homemaker, fantastic cook, accomplished seamstress and quilt maker. Nancy enjoyed riding horses, milking the cows, cultivating the family veggie garden, playing the piano, played softball, karate and was the manager of Circle K. She was very artistic. A smoker and on occasion smoked a cigar (even a pipe in later years saying she was sharing memories with Grandpa Blevins).

Children: Cheryl Elaine (Sherry), Cecilia Ann (Cece), and Melissa Ellen (Missy & Shorty).

Over the years, Nancy earned a GED and a legal secretary degree, then working for a decade for an Alb. law firm. She collected Tiffany lamps, enjoyed her pet dogs and reading (Kindle) day and night (a very active Alb. library member!)
Her passion was dance, dance, dance! She shared that passion with her companion, Jerry, for almost 20 years.

Passing: 7 Sep 2012 Albuquerque Bernalillo Co NM.
Nancy chose cremation and scattered near Alb. in family area with daughter, Melissa Ellen Ralston.

Needless to say ... Nancy Ellen Allen is unforgettable! One very classy lady and unique person ~~~
