Christy Glen Salisbury, 95, of Carlisle died Friday, March 2, 2012, in Green Ridge Village, Newville.

Born Feb.7, 1917, in Newville, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Mae Salisbury.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Mowery Salisbury who died March 22, 2005.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was retired from the Letter Kenney Army Depot of Chambersburg after 35 years.

Mr. Salisbury was a long-time member of Center Luther Church, Newville.

Mr. Salisbury is survived by three sons, Gary L. Salisbury of Carlisle, Kenneth C. Salisbury of Newville, and Dennis L. Salisbury of Carlisle; one daughter Thelma Fink of Carlisle; two step daughters, Mary Ann Delancey of Mifflintown and Betty Mentzer of Newvill; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia and Lori Ann; two brothers, Wayne and Albert Salisbury; a sister, Alberta Adams; a half brother, Leslie Plew; and two half sisters, Mary Baker and Ruth Eckenridge.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in the Egger Funeral Home Inc., 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville, with the Rev. Richard Ruff officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville. A viewing will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
