Jackson County, Indiana Probate Order Book "00", pages 352-359 records a lawsuit where Absolem B. Parker is the defendant.The lawsuit mentions that Absolem B. Parker died in August, 1823.The lawsuit names his widow as Margaret "Peggy" Parker. His children are named and are: William Crawford Parker, Sarah Parker Mapes and her husband, Emanuel Mapes, Enoch Fleming Parker, James Parker, Milton Hay Parker alias Milton B. Parker, Lucinda Parker,and Lorenzo Dow Parker.
Also mentioned in the lawsuit is John Parker, who died intestate in Bartholomew County, Indiana in September, 1822. His widow is Lydia Parker. His children are Sally Parker, Leathy Parker, James Parker, John Parker, Daniel Parker, Elinor Parker, Mahala Parker, William Parker, Napoleon Parker alias Napoleon B. Parker. The suit mentions that Jesse Cox, of Bartholomew County, Indiana has intermarried with one of the Parker girls.
A marriage bond from Henry County, Kentucky was issued March 13, 1804 enabling Absolem Parker to marry Margaret Erwin. Margaret Parker was named a daughter of Joseph Erwin in his will signed in December 1825. Absolem and Margaret Erwin Parker moved from Henry County, Kentucky to Jackson County, Indiana about the year 1811.
