Daniel T Batdorf was a volunteer in the Civil war as a Dr. He married Sophia Troutman in 1857 but after the Cival War he did not return to his home and his family. Sophia did not grant him a divorce - she remained married to him until her death.
Daniel lived in allgeheny and married a second time to Nancy Cunningham b 1850 and died in 1879 in Allgeheny
They had 2 failed births (boys) and a girl Donetta Thomas Batdorf (b 1875). Daniel died in Feb 1875 and his daughter was born in Sept 1875.
Daniel was the son on Thomas Lauer Batdorf and Catherine Batdorf
Donetta known as Della never knew about Daniel's first family.
