Frances Allen Parrish March 14, 1922 - December 25, 2008 DECATUR, GA— Mrs. Frances Allen Parrish, 86, of Decatur, GA, formerly of Eufaula, AL died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Arbor Terrace in Decatur, GA. Graveside services for Mrs. Parrish will be 2:00 PM CST Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Shellman Cemetery in Shellman, GA. Dr. Al Harbour will officiate with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Born March 14, 1922 in Shellman, GA, Mrs. Parrish was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Bennie Floy Coleman Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Carl Edward Parrish, Sr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eufaula where she had served on the administrative board. Mrs. Parrish retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the Lanier Club and she was an avid Bridge player. Survivors include one son, Carl "Butch" Parrish, Avondale Estates, GA; one sister, Ruth Allen Crittenden, Tampa, FL; one granddaughter, Rebecca Parrish (Larry) Gratton, Berea, KY; and two great grandchildren, Mathew Parrish and James Gratton.
