ANDERSON EX-DEPUTY CORONER DIES
David Millard Caddell Sr., a former deputy coroner for Anderson County, died Sunday at his home, apparently of cancer. Cadell, 63, lived on Route 7 in Frankfort.
Cadell, who was a licensed funeral director and worked for Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, served as a deputy coroner under Woody Gash for two terms from 1978 to 1986.
Caddell was a member of Anderson Masonic Lodge No. 90, Lawrenceburg Chapter No. 138, Frankfort Commander No. 4 Knights Templar and the Council No. 5 R. & F.M.
He also was a member of Alton Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, chairman of the board of the church, and treasurer. He was a charter member of the Ruritan Club and had served as its president; he was treasurer at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Kaltenbrun Caddell , a son, David M. Caddell Jr. of Lexington; a brother; four sisters; and three grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today.
