Van Siclen- On Tuesday, May 7, died, trusting in Christ as his Saviour, Matthew Van Siclen, aged 50 years, less 4 days.

The friends of the family are invited to attend his funeral on Friday May 10, at 11 a.m., from his late residence, No. 799 Greenwich-st.

Will of Matthew Van Siclen

"In the name of God, Amen, I Matthew Van Siclen being of sound mind and memory...bequeath all my real and personal property...to my beloved wife Lydia D. Van Siclen...and I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Lydia D. to be the guardian of infant children Frank B, Charles M., Ellen J., and Josiah W. Van Siclen...in case my wife should not survive me then I give and bequeath all my real and personal property to my children, George W., Henry R., Frank B., Charles M., Ellen J. & Josiah W. Van Siclen to be divided between them share and share alike...I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six."
