Ethel Dean Peeples, 73, died of cancer on October 5, 2012 at Oasis Health and Rehab in Yazoo City, MS.
Graveside services will be held at 10am Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Itta Bena Cemetery in Itta Bena, MS.
Ms. Peeples was born June 8, 1939 in Sidon, MS to Peyton and Moline Peeples. She graduated from Humphrey's High School in Itta Bena. Ms. Peeples resided most of her adult life in Jackson and was an active member and pianist for Creston Hills Baptist Church. She retired from MS School Supply and Jackson Ready Mix.
Ms. Peeples was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Peyton Peeples of Yazoo City and James Peeples of Itta Bena; nephews, Arnold Peeples and Kenneth Peeples; and nieces, Diane Peeples and Kay Williams.
She is survived by her son, Tim Peeples (Kimberly) of Yazoo City; granddaughters, Kristen and Rebecca; brother, Leroy Peeples (Sandra) of Vicksburg; sister, Mary Elizabeth Vickers (Hilliard) of Austin, TX; sister-in-law Jewel Peeples of Itta Bena; best friend of 35 years Faye Johnston of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, Jackson is in charge of the services and Reverend Danny Bartlett will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure ; Diabetes Foundation; or a charity of your choice.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hancock, Wayne Carmeans, Allen Foster , Joseph Peeples, Mark Peeples, Jason Hancock and Justin Grice.
