Eldon Carroll of Lubbock, formerly of Tahoka, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born February 19, 1921 in Gail, Texas to Robert and Mary Carroll.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. After honorable discharge, Eldon worked as a farmer and at the U.S. Postal Service until retiring.
He married Weesie Roberts on January 4, 1941. Eldon was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lakeridge United Methodist Church in Lubbock, and also a long-time past member of First United Methodist Church of Tahoka.
Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Andra Solomon and husband Jim of Alto, N.M. and Cindy Middleton and husband John of Big Spring, Texas; four grandchildren, Wes Solomon and wife Courtney, Terri Eubank and husband Darrell, Kim Fishpaw and husband Jim, and Lauren Craig and husband Cody; nine great-grandchildren; and his special friend and caretaker, Susie McRaven.
Eldon was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Weesie; parents; and three brothers, Bobby, Joe, and Wayne Carroll.
