Born in Pottsville, Pa., he spent the past 80 years in Jersey City. He was an electrician working out of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 164, retiring in 1960. He was past president of the Holy Name Society of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City.
Surviving are his two sons, Joseph, of Red Bank and Buddy, of Jersey City; two daughters, Margaret Maresca and Eileen, both of Jersey City; a brother, Bernard, of Florida, a sister, Frances Ferris of Jersey City; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (nee Kelly), and by two sisters, Mary Sullivan and Helen Moran.
