KENDALLVILLE - Mary Flora Kaough, 90, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at home in the arms of the family that loved her dearly.

Flora was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who possessed a playful sense of humor and she was loved by all who met her. She enjoyed golfing, the beaches of Florida, lots of laughter, and spending time with family and friends.

She was born January 21, 1922, in Riscoe, Missouri, to Zilpha (Macklin) Bazzinett. On September 2, 1943, she married her true love. Howard Kaough.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Howard Kaough of Kendallville; five children, Victoria (Robert) Woenker of Fort Wayne, Richard (Jacqueline) Kaough of St. Petersburg, Florida, Barbara (Cephas) Sutton of Kendallville, James (Deborah) Kaough of Wolcottville, and Deborah Boggs of Big Long Lake; eight grandchildren, Krissa (Ron) Keys of Fort Wayne, Nathaniel Woenker of Fort Wayne, Amanda Woenker of Fort Wayne, Angela (Tim) Dhillon of Fort Wayne, Jason (Cristy) Sutton of Kendallville, Jasten (Adam) Tuttle of Rome City, Jessica Kaough of Wolcottville, and Elizabeth Boggs of Fishers; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Marcella Jones; and a brother, Donald Bazzinett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 301 East Diamond Street, Kendallville, with Fr. James Stoyle officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. Calling is one hour prior to services at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Noble House Ministries Inc. or to the Humane Shelter of Noble County and may be sent to the funeral home. Donation envelopes will also be available at the church on Saturday.
