Betty was born January 21, 1924 in St. Anthony, Idaho to George and Mina Richards. She married Vernal Earl Chellson in the Salt Lake Temple on October 20, 1950. She was a registered nurse, where she worked at the U.S.C. Medical Center in California. Betty was a temple worker in the Los Angeles and Provo Temples, and served in various church positions. She served a Mission to the New England States; and later served a Mission with Vernal in Arkansas.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She was one of the most charitable women we knew. We will miss her sense of humor, hugs and words of love and encouragement. She was a woman of great faith. She was always there for her family and she will be missed.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Vernal; children, Gordon (Geri), Vickie (Scott) Warr, Colleen (Kevin) Imlay; nine grandchildren and first great-grandchild due in June.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jordan North 1st Ward, 3900 South 4000 West.
