A native of Lincoln County, she was born Jan. 31, 1930 to the late Charlie Oaks and Pearl Simpson Oaks. She was a homemaker, a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, and the widow of Hughie Nave.
Survivors include six brothers; Paul James Oaks, David Samuel Oaks, Kenneth Eugene Oaks and Odis Alfred Oaks, all of Waynesburg, Dennis Ray Oaks of Danville and Clyde Sherman Oaks of Stanford; two sisters, Ruth Mae Rector and Martha Ann Farmer both of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 4 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Miracle officiating. Burial was in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.
