Funeral Services for Mrs. Abell
Illness of 6 weeks fatal to native of DeKalb county Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Elizabeth Abell, 73, who died late Saturday night at the home of a son-in-law W.D. Newberry, at 933 Greenville Street, were to be held Monday at Dunson Holiness Church, with the Rev. C.I. Whitley officiating assisted by the Rev. Paul Brady, pastor of the church.
Alton Norwood, Stanford Norwood, Freeman Chambers, Robert Chambers, J.L. Gibson and Bud Abell were to serve as pallbearers with Hammett, and Grover in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Abell was a native of DeKalb County and had been a resident of LaGrange for 14 years, She was a member of the Hillside Holiness church. Her death occurred after an illness of about 6 weeks. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. W.D. Newberry, and Mrs. Nola Parker both of LaGrange, Mrs. B.M. Chambers of Riverdale, and 4 sons Tonie, John, and Grady Abell all of LaGrange, and Walter Abell of Hogansville.
