Thomas E. Trimble, 87, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born to Nelson Trimble Sr. and Marie Gossom Trimble in Wetumpka, Ala. Veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute in Alabama and later moved to Ohio. He was a long time member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where he was in the choir and a member of Men in Mission. Thomas retired from TechneGlas. He was a member of King David Lodge #116, Honorary Past Potentate of Alla Baba Temple #53, John C. Logan #53, Royal Arch Mason, L.D. Easton Consistory #21, 32nd Degree Mason, and an active member of the Geritol Kids Bowling League until his illness. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, two sisters, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Visitation Monday, October 1, 2012, 7-9 p.m. with Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. to be held at CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral service Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 1506 E. Long St., Columbus, OH. Pastor Anthony Chatman officiating. Family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery, Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Thomas to St. Philip's "Men in Mission" or "The Food Pantry". Thanks to all of the Doctors and nurses at Mt. Carmel East 4th and 5th floors who attended to Thomas.
