Born in South Wallace, she was a daughter of the late James and Carrie (Baird) Treen. Ruby was a homemaker most of her married life but did work as a registered nurse for a while and was an amateur birdwatcher. Surviving are sisters, Irma Devine, Fresh Meadow, N.Y.; Velma Vickery, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, Allister; sisters, Alice Whittemore, Muriel Swan, Jessie Robertson. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, Rev. Morley Bentley officiating. Spring burial will be in Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan. Memorial donations may be made to Willow Lodge Home For Special Care.
