Alfred Dale Cline

On Sept. 29 our father, grandfather and friend, Dale Cline rode his old mule "Molly" through the gate to higher ground. We lost our hero and you lost a great friend. But he's up there watchin it rain and dancin the shadish.

He was born Alfred Dale Cline on June 27, 1933 in a little house in Payson where his aunt and uncle lived. He came back to Tonto Basin and lived the rest of his life there.

His parents were Oscar and Dude (Goswick) Cline, who preceded him in death. Oscar died Feb. 10, 1942 of leukemia and Dude March 11, 1985 of lung cancer. His wife of 56 years, Lorraine, passed away Aug. 18, 2008. His brother Leck, in December, 1997, and brother George on April 11, 1990.

Alfred was a cowman his whole life. He took care of his family, his cattle and the range and taught us to do the same.

He is survived by three children, Lonny (Rose) and their three children, J.D., Andrew, and Derek; Teri and her two kids, Laci and Lani; and Brent (Janet) and their three kids, Denton, Jake, and Riley; and six grandkids.

Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Tonto Basin School. Food will be served at the Butcher Hook patio for all our friends. Family will proceed to the Cline Cemetery for internment.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lorraine Cline Memorial Fund, PO Box 339, Tonto Basin, AZ 85553.

Funeral arrangements for Alfred Dale Cline were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
