Little Chad died at the 3535th USAF Hospital on Mather Air Force Base, California. Chad's graveside service at Sierra Hills Cemetery was attended by his parents Bill and Marilyn, baby sister Kelly, and Uncle Gay, who was visiting from Michigan at the time. Also present were Chad's grandmothers Cille Koraleski and Sylvia Hydal who flew out from Michigan for the funeral.
