She was a superintendent at Friends Rescue Home for Unmarried Girls in Columbus, Ohio, taught at Ohio public elementary schools and taught in elementary schools in Florida for 10 years. She was a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers and Florida Retired Teachers organizations and Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Bradenton.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Carol Kohlhepp of Bryan; a stepson, Paul of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto. Bradenton Funeral Home is in charge.
