Robert W. Valleskey. age 83, a resident of Oak Creek Assisted Living, Kiel, died Monday evening, October 1, 2012. He was born January 13, 1929 in Collins, son of the late Gustave & Clara (Baryenbruch) Valleskey. He was a 1947 graduate of Valders High School. On June 16, 1951 Bob was united in marriage to Olive A. Meyer in Reedsville. Olive preceded him in death on June 27, 2007. Bob owned a Hardware Store in Kiel for a number of years and retired from Kohler Company. After his retirement Bob kept active working at Blackwolf Run Golf Course as a starter. He was member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and taking care of his cars. Survivors include two children: Thomas (Donna) Valleskey, Howards Grove, Cathy (Robert) Wirth, Green Bay, three grandchildren; Barry (Trisha) Valleskey, Howards Grove, Trisha & Tyler Wirth, Green Bay and two great grandchildren; Brady & Max Valleskey. He is further survived two brothers, Harold Valleskey, Manitowoc, Kenneth (Elsie) Valleskey, Lehigh Acres, FL, four sisters-in-law, Marianne Kreger, Naperville, IL, Verdyne Meyer, Sheboygan Falls, LaVerne Meyer, Kiel, Valeria Valleskey, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy (William) Habermann, Delores (Norman) Vorpahl, two brothers, Orville (Geraldine) Valleskey, Milton Valleskey and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Valleskey. Funeral services for Bob will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel with Dan Krueger officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Bob's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Oak Creek Assisted Living for the care he received the past five years and to Hospice Advantage for their compassion to Bob and his family.
