Alvina R. Novotny
ELLSWORTH - Alvina R. Novotny, 63, died Dec. 7, 2000, at Salina Regional Health Center, Santa Fe Campus. She was born Aug. 26, 1937, at Lincoln, the daughter of Russell and Rosaline Schultz Lyne. A lifetime Ellsworth resident, she was a homemaker. She belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Ellsworth.
On Nov. 6, 1955, she married Wlnslow J. "Jim" Novotny at Ellsworth. He died Nov. 1, 1999.
Survivors include: five daughters, Debbie Dolezal, Kay McElroy and Darla Deiser, all of Ellsworth, Cindy Cline, Salina, and Joan Modrow, Kanopolls; mother, Ellsworth; a brother, Donald Lyne, Ellsworth; seven sisters, Janice Prochaska, Joyce Webb, Gloria Marez and Carol Kottman, all of Ellsworth, Judy Blouin, Las Vegas, Nev., Shirley Behrens, Lincoln, and Bertha Bontz, Peoria, Ill; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Lyne.
Funeral will be at 10 am. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, with Pastor Gary Wolf presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Burial will be in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the American Legion Auxiliary, both in care of the funeral home.
