After the death of her husband, she went to work as a tobacco stripper in the tobacco fields at Brunswick. She took sick and died of pneumonia at age 43 years, leaving 4 orphaned girls. She was a wonderful seamstress and sewed for other people.

We do not have positive proof that Emma is buried in this cemetery. Brunswick City Cemetery is about .15 miles further from the Enlow home which was situated just south of the Grand River near it's junction with the Missouri River.
