He retired from the Post Office after 44 years of service and was a member of the National Association of Postal Supervisors, the National Association of Retired Civil Service Employees and Sunnyside Masonic Lodge No. 163.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; a son, Herbert T. of Lake Oswego; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Cemetery. The Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes is in charge of arrangements.
