Funeral for Dale Gentry, 50, of 125 SW Collins St., and his son, James (Jamie), 16 will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery chapel, with interment in the cemetery.

James Gentry, a Jackson High School athlete, died Wednesday of injuries suffered in an auto crash near Grand Rounde. His father died Thursday of a heart attack at home.

Mr. Gentry was born July 2, 1917, in Umapine, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Walla Walla, Wash. He played on Washington State University football and basketball teams in 1938-41, and was a Navy lieutenant during World War II. He was a sales representative for Olympia Beer Co.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia E.; son, Greg, Portland; brother, Arnold, Saint John, Wash., and sister, Mrs. Erma Davies, Bothel, Wash.

James was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Pasadena, Calif. He would have been Jackson High senior class president next fall.

Survivors include his mother and brother.
